Save The Cow Palace: Urgent Action Requested

The Cow Palace has only been saved for the moment.  Daly City is still gunning for it.  They hope that over the next few years, the Cow Palace will not be revitalized and will continue to loose shows and ultimately close.  The money to revitalize the Cow Palace can be generated by a long term lease of 13 acres of  Cow Palace remote parking.  Instead, Daly City wants to force a quick sale of this land – using SB1527 in it’s amended form – to do so. If you signed the petition to Save the Cow Palace, you should already have received an email requesting your help to write letters to the Assembly and the Governor.  If you want to be included in future emails, please go to the site and sign the petition. 

Please personalize and print the attached letter and fax it today. The deadline is Monday August 4 (the Assembly Committee meets on Tuesday).

You can call and voice your opinion to a staffer as well if you wish (numbers provided at top of letter).

We have succeeded in saving the Cow Palace today, now we need to insure that it has a future.

Only the income from a long-term lease will provide adequate revenue to assure the future of the Cow Palace.

SB1527 is still a danger to the future of the Cow Palace because it aims to sell 13 acres of Cow Palace property in a sweetheart deal to Daly City.
