Check out this mornings chron  (link below). The article is very well written and it drives home important nostalgia (family) vs. big development theme which is critical to our success.  We are NOT DONE.  Hit the Chronicle comment board. We want to flood it.

Also, if you are so inclined, please take a minute right away to call the Daly City Manager and tell her she is wrong...

Daly City Manager Patricia Martel has just gone on record as saying the Cow Palace contributes NOTHING to the community.  This is dead wrong.

Help us get two hundred calls to her office as soon as possible. Flood her lines. Christmas, dogs, trains, ice skaters, circuses, Globe Trotters, and millions of dollars in income to hotels, restaurants, gas stations and jobs contribute nothing.? Right.

Plan to show up tonight Thursday 2/28/08 at the Daly City public forum if you can, or ask someone you know in the area to come.  Kevin will be there at 6:00, the meeting starts at 7:00.

The Bayshore Community Center is a very new building with a library.   It's right behind the Cow Palace on the hill...

This is the moment. A very strong showing tonight will send a strong message. We will be sure the new media is there. Attire: Daly City Resident circa 1980 to present. If you can organize costumes like giant flowers, trains, cheer leaders, Elvis...even a few Dickensian characters, go for it. Can someone get Martin on a plane from London please? ... We can work on a big costume thing for the next forum (see below) which will keep the issue in the media. Just showing up tonight is the important thing.
