Stark Raven's Auditions
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
(from Mark Donnelly)
The Stark Ravens are
bringing the Panto back to the Dickens Fair with a brand new
all-original show
entitled Aladdin Meets Cinderella and Visits the Monkey King OR
Harlequin
and Queen Splenda Triumphant Over the Big Bad Wolf. We are
looking for a variety of support in terms of actors for lead roles as
well as
understudies, tech crew, production crew (painters, fabricators,
costumers,
carpenters, etc), musicians and puppeteers. Contact Mark Donnelly
at troubadorio@earthlink.net
if you
are interested in helping out. Let me know what sort of things
you've
done before. Thanks!"
Thanks,
Mark
(Revised)
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Siamsa Auditions
(Revised)
(from Shirleigh Brannon)
Siamsa (music and dance
of Ireland and Scotland) is looking for a few good people to join us
for
Dickens and beyond....
(Please nota bene: we
are a year round performing troupe and are not looking for performers
who are
only available for Dickens)
We are interested in
musicians who
(a) are already familiar
with playing Scottish or Irish dance music (preferably both);
(b) already have a good
stage ensemble instrument and know how to play it; and
(c) are willing to make
the commitment to rehearse with us - no "just sitting in" unless you
check with Shirleigh or Sean first.
We are also always happy
to audition Scottish or Irish dancers - please be at least a
novice/prizewinner
Irish dancer (or the equivalent in Scottish dance) and be able to play
well
with others.
Above caveats also
apply.
What do you get in
exchange? The chance to get to know and perform (without a net) with
amazing,
sweet, dedicated and dryly funny people in a successful, fast-paced,
seat-of-your-pants show where you will discover performance, music, and
dance
flexibility you never knew you had!
For more info e-mail us
at info@siamsa.net
or catch us RIGHT AFTER
morning meeting on the first day of workshops, at the back of the
meeting hall.
