Another Loss: Robin Wadsworth
Sometimes it's tough being the oracle of knowledge for our little tribe. This has ineed been a difficult season for Faire Folk.

Robin Wadsworth (drummer, taiko and parade drummer, morris dancer, singer, flautist, and truly a Renaissance man)
drowned last week in a diving accident in the Caribbean. A memorial service is being planned for this Sunday, more details can be found by clicking here.

San Francisco Taiko Dojo, with whom Robin played, will also be dedicating a piece to him at their November 18th Cal Performances presentation at Zellerbach Hall.

Sweet Adeline's Online
(from  Paula Christensen)
As many of you know, I have been singing bass with a Sweet Adeline chorus called Mission Valley for the last several years.  My chorus, Mission Valley, did well enough at regional to be chosen as a wildcard to compete in the international competition of the Sweet Adelines in Las Vegas this year on Thursday, October 12, 2006.  The choruses will be webcast starting at 10:45 a.m. and will go to 7:45 p.m. We are lined up to be the 5th chorus
competing. I hope you get a chance to listen in, if you look at the schedule on different days, there are the best quartets of every region competing as well.  They are something to see.

Here is the link to the webcast.

Charlie's "Treasures" on eBay
(from Sandy Cook)

Please forward this to everyone you know, I would appreciate it greatly. The proceeds from this auction will be used to pay down the debts left me by Charlie's death. You can get to the Ebay auction by going to "Charlie's Trove" or just probably "Charlie's". Pictures and descriptions of his treasures are listed there. They are many and varied.

The auction will begin on Sept. 15th. at 7 PM and run through Sunday the 29th. If you would like to have a momento from Charlie, please take a look.

Please Note: Ebay will not allow pre-viewing before the actual dates of the auctions. So, you can look at the first batch of items on Set. 15th. AFTER 7 PM.
There will be a minumum of 4 auctions the dates for the four ready to go are:
Sept. 15 - 24th        Sept. 22 - Oct. 1st.        Sept. 29 - Oct. 8th.        Oct. 6 - 15th
My son may add another set to the above and if so, I will send out that information. Remember - - - - - you cannot view the items until the 1st. date of each auction, after 7 PM.

Thanking you in advance for your help.     Sandy
